Why we are doing this for the band
A high school band costs more than most people outside of it realize. Instruments break. Uniforms wear out. Buses to away games and competitions cost real money, and the fundraising falls mostly on the families. The GHS Eagles Band shows up at every home game, every parade, every community event in this town. They are part of what makes fall in Georgetown feel like Georgetown.
We are a small bubble tea shop at Wolf Ranch Town Center, not a big chain office somewhere else. The band kids are our customers. Their parents are our customers. Their teachers are our customers. Sponsoring a full day of sales is the most direct thing we could think of to help.
Bring your family. Bring your section. The more orders that come through with EagleBand attached, the bigger the number at the end of the night.
When and where to find us
Wednesday, September 9, 11am to 9pm.
Sharetea Georgetown is at 1013 W University Ave, Ste 165, inside Wolf Ranch Town Center. Coming from I-35, take the University Ave exit and head west a couple of minutes. Parking is easier on the University Avenue side than it is over by the anchor stores.
Here is what the day usually looks like from behind our counter. Late morning through about 2pm is quiet, which is the best window if you have small kids or you are on a lunch break. Right after school lets out, roughly 4pm to 6pm, is the busiest stretch. Evening calms back down around 7pm, and the last hour is a good time to grab drinks for the whole house.
A tip for band parents: if you want to bring drinks to a rehearsal, call ahead at (512) 537-4053 and we can have a large order boxed and ready. Group orders count for Eat to Earn too.
New to bubble tea? Read this first
A fundraiser brings in a lot of people who have never ordered bubble tea before. If that is you, nothing here is complicated.
Sugar comes at 0%, 30%, 50%, 70%, or 100%. Most first-timers like 50% best. Ice level is your choice too, and less ice means a stronger drink, not a weaker one. Pearls are the chewy tapioca balls at the bottom, and we cook them in small batches through the day so they stay soft.
Safest first order: Classic Pearl Milk Tea at 50% sugar. If you want something for a kid, ask for a Strawberry Coconut with no caffeine.
Cafe
Milk tea is the heart of the shop and where most Georgetown bubble tea orders land. Classic Pearl Milk Tea is the one to start with. Honey Pearl Milk Tea swaps in honey for a rounder finish. Hokkaido Pearl Milk Tea leans caramel. Thai Pearl Milk Tea is bold and a little spiced. Taro Pearl Milk Tea is the purple one. Coconut Pearl Milk Tea is creamy without being heavy. Mango Green Milk Tea puts fruit and cream together. Golden Retriever gets ordered for the name and reordered for the taste.
If you would rather skip the milk, our Fresh Brew side keeps it simple: Classic Tea and Honey Tea, brewed fresh through the day. Sharetea has been doing this for about thirty years, and the tea leaves and toppings still come from Taiwan.
Coffee shop
Georgetown has plenty of good coffee, and we are not trying to take anybody's morning cup. What we do is the crossover. Coffee Creama layers coffee and milk foam in the glass. Coffee Milk Tea w/ Coffee Jelly gives you a tea base with soft cubes of coffee jelly to chew as you go. Coffee w/ Ice Cream is blended cold with a scoop on top, and it lands closer to dessert than to a latte. Any of the three will get a parent through a Wednesday night of homework help.
Dessert shop
This is the ice-blended row, where our bubble tea menu turns into something you eat with a spoon. Oreo w/ Pearl is the top seller. Taro w/ Pudding pairs the purple root with soft egg pudding. Thai Tea w/ Pearl blends the spiced tea into a slush. Peach Tea w/ Lychee Jelly stays fruity and light. Lava Flow is the showpiece, with red fruit running down the inside of the cup.
Halo Halo deserves its own line. It is the Filipino-inspired mix of jellies, beans, and milk, and we serve it two ways: Halo Halo as a drink, or Halo Halo Ice Blended when you want it thick.
Ice cream shop
Three drinks on our menu come with real ice cream on top, and they are the ones kids point at through the glass. Coffee w/ Ice Cream is the grown-up pick. Mango w/ Ice Cream is the sweetest of the three. Strawberry w/ Lychee Jelly & Ice Cream sells out fastest on warm afternoons, and early September in Georgetown is still very much a warm afternoon.
Juice shop
Not everybody wants a creamy drink. Our fruity list is the lighter half of the bubble tea menu. Mango Green Tea is the everyday order. Passion Chess is tart and bright. Berry Lychee Burst mixes berry with floral lychee. Peach Tea w/ Honey Jelly is soft and easy. Mango & Passion Fruit Tea brings both fruits together. Honey Lemonade is what we hand to people walking over from San Gabriel Park or the Blue Hole.
Soft drinks shop
If caffeine is off the table, the whole non-caffeinated section is open to you, and it is a good place to point younger band members. Tiger Boba is brown sugar and milk with no tea at all, and the syrup stripes down the cup are the reason people photograph it first. Strawberry Coconut is our gentlest option. Wintermelon Lemonade is sweet and tangy, Wintermelon Lemonade Ice Blended is the frozen version, and Wintermelon w/ Fresh Milk is mellow and almost caramel-like.
More on Tiger Boba and on our top drinks in Georgetown if you want the longer story.
New Matcha Series
Matcha is our newest lineup and it has been moving fast. Matcha Pearl Milk Tea is matcha and milk with pearls. Matcha Fresh Milk drops the tea base for straight fresh milk, so the matcha tastes cleaner. Strawberry Matcha Fresh Milk gives you the pink and green layers people love in photos. Mango Matcha Fresh Milk is the sweeter cousin. The two cups on our Eat to Earn poster are a matcha and a taro, if you were wondering.

Eat to Earn on Sep 9: Every Bubble Tea in Georgetown, Texas Helps the GHS Eagles Band
Last spring, a group of Georgetown High band kids came in still holding their instrument cases after a long practice. They ordered six drinks, split a couple of them, and sat by the window for an hour. One of them said the band was raising money for new equipment, and asked if we ever did fundraisers. We said yes, we just needed a date.
That date is Wednesday, September 9. We are calling it Eat to Earn, and here is the short version: every sale at our bubble tea store in Georgetown, Texas that day is sponsored toward the GHS Eagles Band Fund. Mention EagleBand at the register, and your order gets credited to the band.
No ticket. No flyer to print. No minimum. Just order a drink and say the word.
How Eat to Earn works
We wanted this to be simple enough that a parent picking up drinks on the way home does not have to think about it. Three steps.
Come to Sharetea Georgetown on Wednesday, September 9, any time we are open.
Order whatever you want off the bubble tea menu.
Say EagleBand when you pay.
That is it. The sale gets counted for the GHS Eagles Band Fund, and the band gets the credit. It works the same for one drink or for a tray of twelve.
If you forget to say it, ask before you walk away and we can still catch it. Once the receipt is closed and you are out the door, it gets harder, so say it up front.
