What Passion Fruit Actually Tastes Like
If you've never had passion fruit on its own, the honest description is tart first, tropical second.
It's sour the way a good pineapple is sour, with a floral, almost perfumed edge behind it. On its own, most people find it too sharp to drink straight. Paired with mango, it stops being sharp and starts being bright — the mango rounds off the sourness and the passion fruit keeps the mango from going flat and syrupy.
That push and pull between the two is the whole drink. It's sweet and sour at the same time, and which one is winning depends entirely on the next section.
The Sugar Ladder: What This Drink Tastes Like at Every Level
Sugar level changes this drink more than any other bubble tea on our menu, because there's no milk to smooth things over. Here's what you actually get.
0% — tart and tea-forward. The passion fruit dominates and the green tea comes through clearly. Genuinely sour. Some people love this and order nothing else. Most first-timers find it too much.
30% — sour-leaning and bright. The mango starts showing up but the passion fruit is still in charge. This is where people who drink unsweetened iced tea tend to land.
50% — balanced. Mango and passion fruit roughly even, tea still noticeable underneath. This is where we'd start you. It's the level most of our regulars drink it at.
70% — sweet-leaning. Mango forward, passion fruit becomes an accent, tea mostly disappears. Good if you came in wanting something sweet.
100% — sweet. Candy territory. The tartness is gone and so is the tea. We'll make it, but you're not really tasting passion fruit anymore.
Our honest recommendation: start at 50%, and adjust once from there. Almost nobody needs 100% on this drink, and the people who try 30% after a few visits usually stay there.
How to Order It
Sugar: 50% on your first one. See above.
Ice: regular. There's no dairy to protect, so melting ice just dilutes it slowly. If you're a slow drinker, less ice is a reasonable ask here — one of the few drinks where it works.
Toppings: it comes clean, and that's the point. But if you want texture, lychee jelly is the best match — floral and springy, it sits with the passion fruit rather than fighting it. Pearls work but they're a bit heavy for a drink this light. Adding pearls also means adding dairy-free-no-longer concerns for nobody, since pearls are dairy-free too.
Size: large. This is the drink people finish fastest.
Caffeine: yes, but on the lower side. Green tea has less caffeine than black tea and much less than coffee. It's fine for mid-afternoon. If you want zero, our caffeine-free section is further down.
Dairy: none. This matters more than it sounds, and it's worth its own section.
The Dairy-Free Drink on a Dairy-Heavy Menu
Most bubble tea is milk tea. That's simply what the category is. Which means if you're lactose intolerant, dairy-free by choice, or bringing someone who is, a boba shop can feel like it has nothing for you.
Our Fruity Beverage section is the answer, and Mango & Passion Fruit Tea is the best starting point in it. Brewed tea, fruit, ice. Nothing else.
This also makes it the drink to order when you're bringing a group with mixed needs. One person gets a milk tea, one gets a blended dessert, and the person avoiding dairy gets something that's actually good rather than an afterthought.
Worth asking about: if you have a specific allergy, ask us at the counter and we'll walk through what's in it. Fruit teas are the simplest drinks we make, which makes them the easiest to check.
Where to Get It in Georgetown, Texas
We're at 1013 W University Ave, Ste 165, inside Wolf Ranch Town Center. Take the University Ave exit off I-35 and you're a couple of minutes out.
Here's the thing about a fruit-based bubble tea specifically: it has nowhere to hide.
A milk tea can carry a mediocre brew, because condensed milk and sugar cover a lot. A fruit tea can't. If the green tea underneath is over-brewed it turns bitter and astringent, and you taste it immediately through the fruit. If it's been sitting too long it goes flat and the whole drink tastes like watered-down syrup.
So the tea gets brewed through the day rather than once in the morning. On a light drink like this one, that's the entire difference between good and forgettable.

Juice Shop Flavors, All Built on Brewed Tea
This is the section Mango & Passion Fruit Tea lives in. It works the way a juice shop does — light, fruit-forward, no dairy — except every drink starts from brewed tea instead of syrup and water.
Mango Green Tea is the simpler cousin: same green tea base, mango only, no tartness. Order this one if the passion fruit sounds like too much. Passion Chess goes the other direction, leaning hard into tart. Berry Lychee Burst is the floral one, berry and lychee together. Peach Tea w/ Honey Jelly is the gentlest in the group. Honey Lemonade is what Georgetown reaches for on the hottest afternoon of the year.
If you like this drink, work across this section. It's the most under-ordered part of our board.
A Cafe Where a Light Drink Lasts
Plenty of people treat our shop as a cafe rather than a takeout window — Southwestern students with laptops, readers on a slow Sunday, friends who stay an hour past the bottom of the cup.
A fruit tea is quietly the best bubble tea for that. They don't get heavy, they don't separate, and you don't hit the wall you hit halfway through a large milk tea.
That said, if creamy is what you came for, the Milky Series runs in the opposite direction from this bubble tea. Mango Green Milk Tea is the closest relative to today's drink — the same mango over green tea, but with milk poured in, which turns it from light to smooth. Classic Pearl Milk Tea sets the baseline for the category. Honey Pearl Milk Tea trades tea bite for honey. Hokkaido Pearl Milk Tea goes deep and caramel-heavy. Thai Pearl Milk Tea is the strong, spiced, bright orange one. Taro Pearl Milk Tea is nutty and purple. Coconut Pearl Milk Tea keeps things gentle. The Golden Retriever piles four separate toppings into one cup.
Want the tea alone with nothing on it? Classic Tea and Honey Tea from our Fresh Brew line are brewed through the day and available at zero sugar.
Our Coffee Shop Side
Not everyone in a group wants fruit. We work as a coffee shop too.
Coffee Creama tops cold coffee with a salted cream cap you sip straight through. Coffee Milk Tea w/ Coffee Jelly hands you jelly cubes that taste like cold brew. Coffee w/ Ice Cream arrives blended under a scoop.
Where this bubble tea sits on caffeine: below every coffee drink, below the black teas, and above only the caffeine-free group.
The Dessert Shop Section
Georgetown heat runs long, and this part of the board carries it. It works like a dessert shop.
Every drink here is frozen, thick, and considerably heavier than the one you came to read about. Oreo w/ Pearl leads the group, packed with cookie pieces. Taro w/ Pudding sets nutty purple taro against soft custard. Thai Tea w/ Pearl turns the spiced orange tea into a frozen version. Strawberry w/ Lychee Jelly & Ice Cream carries a scoop and jelly at once. Coffee w/ Ice Cream keeps a bitter edge beneath the sweetness. Mango w/ Ice Cream takes mango the dessert route. Peach Tea w/ Lychee Jelly stays lightest of the eight. Lava Flow pours mango against a spicy peach purée.
Halo Halo, our Filipino-inspired build, comes standard or as Halo Halo Ice Blended.
If you want mango but want it as dessert instead of a light drink, Mango w/ Ice Cream is where to go.
Ice Cream Shop Orders
A scoop sits on three of our drinks, which settles an ice cream shop craving in the same visit: Mango w/ Ice Cream, Coffee w/ Ice Cream, and Strawberry w/ Lychee Jelly & Ice Cream.
Every one of the three has dairy in it. This is the single section of our bubble tea menu that closes off if you're avoiding milk.
Soft Drinks Shop Swaps With No Caffeine
Cutting soda and also avoiding caffeine? Our caffeine-free group does what a soft drinks shop does, minus the can.
Wintermelon Lemonade is the swap to know: light, faintly honey-caramel, cut clean with lemon, and the nearest caffeine-free match to the bubble tea in this post. A Wintermelon Lemonade Ice Blended handles hotter days, and Wintermelon w/ Fresh Milk turns it creamy. Tiger Boba layers brown sugar pearls beneath fresh milk. Strawberry Coconut stays bright and creamy.
If you came in for Mango & Passion Fruit Tea but need to skip caffeine entirely, Wintermelon Lemonade is the swap.
New Matcha Series
Real matcha carries a grassy, slightly bitter base, which puts this newest bubble tea lineup somewhere between our fruit teas and our milk teas in weight.
Mango Matcha Fresh Milk takes the same mango in today's drink and sets it against matcha instead of green tea — the natural next order if you like mango but want more body. Matcha Pearl Milk Tea is the traditional build. Matcha Fresh Milk strips everything back to matcha and milk. Strawberry Matcha Fresh Milk is the layered pink-and-green one.

Mango & Passion Fruit Tea: The Bubble Tea Georgetown, Texas Orders When It's Done With Creamy
"Something that isn't milky."
We hear that about thirty times a day. Somebody's had a heavy lunch, or it's 97 degrees out, or they just don't want a dessert in a cup. They want something cold and fruity that won't sit in their stomach.
This is the bubble tea we point to. Mango & Passion Fruit Tea is the lightest bubble tea on our board, it has no dairy in it at all, and it's the one most likely to convert somebody who thinks they don't like bubble tea.
It's also the one bubble tea where sugar level matters more than anything else about it. Get that part right and it's one of the best things we make. Get it wrong and it's fruit punch.
What's Actually in It
Three things, and the first one surprises people.
Green tea. This is a real brewed tea, not a juice. Green tea is the base, and it sits underneath everything else adding a light, slightly grassy backbone. Most people never notice it on purpose, but it's the reason the drink finishes clean instead of sticky.
Mango. Sweet, round, familiar. It does the heavy lifting on the sweet side.
Passion fruit. Sharp, tart, floral. This is the part that makes the drink interesting.
No milk. No cream. No dairy anywhere in it.
